Dramatic Night at Scunthorpe

The away meeting at Scunthorpe on Friday night became unexpectedly dramatic for the Stoke Potters, who saw both Claus Vissing and Hyněk Štichauer taken to the hospital after falls in heats four and fifteen respectively.
In addition two spectators went the same way after the bike of a third Stoke rider, Taylor Poole, went over the safety fence in heat ten - luckily without the rider taking injury.
Claus Vissing was released from hospital with just a sprained ankle and will probably be back on the bike again in a short time. Neither he nor Štichauer will however be riding in the returnmeeting at Stoke on Saturday, and it is still uncertain, whether they will be ready for the away meeting at Newport on Sunday.
The Friday night drama ended up with a 51-39 defeat.

I'm back - and fit for fight
After two weeks of forced vacation I'm finally ready to get up on my bike again.  I've got rid of the splint, my foot works as it should and I'm looking forward to ride again.
On Saturday, July 31st I had my first training at Fjelsted, which was very successful, and I'll be back at the same track on Wednesday, August 4th, when we meet Slanbgerup in the Danish Speedway League.
On Thursday, I'll be riding for the Stoke Potters in an away meeting against Sheffield, and on Friday I'll be in the second final for the Danish Championship. After that I'm looking forward to the whole autumn programme.

Yours,
Claus Vissing

Double Funen Champion
Claus Vissing carried on his style from the Saturday's meeting at Loomer, when he successfully defended his title as Funen Champion at the Funen Championship af Munkebo, Denmark on Sunday, august 15th.
With a maximum score he secured the title for the second time,  Tommy Pedersen taking second place and Anders L. Nielsen third.
