A Forced Vacation
Though Danish speedway is taking a break in July, I didn't plan on a vacation myself and was looking forward to a lot of meetings for the Stoke Potters instead. However, my plans were changed by my fall at Scunthorpe on July 16th.
Luckily, I wasn't seriously injured. After all a sprained ankle is nothing serious, but still it is enough to force me to take an unplanned summer vacation.
I cannot really use my leg and I'm unable to ride. Unfortunate-ly I can't do any of the things, one would normally do on a summer holliday either. Actually all I can do is to hobble around a bit on the splint, the doctors gave me to help me  bring my ankle back in shape, untill I get back on the bike again. Hopefully that will be at the end of the month.
Yours,
Claus Vissing

Dramatic Night at Scunthorpe
The away meeting at Scunthorpe on Friday night became unexpectedly dramatic for the Stoke Potters, who saw both Claus Vissing and Hyněk Štichauer taken to the hospital after falls in heats four and fifteen respectively.
In addition two spectators went the same way after the bike of a third Stoke rider, Taylor Poole, went over the safety fence in heat ten - luckily without the rider taking injury.
Claus Vissing was released from hospital with just a sprained ankle and will probably be back on the bike again in a short time. Neither he nor Štichauer will however be riding in the returnmeeting at Stoke on Saturday, and it is still uncertain, whether they will be ready for the away meeting at Newport on Sunday.
The Friday night drama ended up with a 51-39 defeat.
